100 % onsite in Oldham initial then flexible after probation period is passed

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist with a strong background in Deep Learning to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing deep learning models to extract valuable insights from vast amounts of data. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making and create impactful solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and optimize deep learning models for image classification problems
  • Collaborate with a co-located team of Software Engineers to ensure seamless integration of models into production environments
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis, data preprocessing, feature engineering to uncover insights and guide model development
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in deep learning and AI technologies and apply them to real-world problems
  • Communicate complex technical concepts and results to non-technical stakeholders effectively
  • Participate in code reviews, model evaluations, and continuous improvement processes to maintain high-quality deliverables

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field is desirable
  • Understanding of the mathematics of CNNs and GANs essential, or other advanced deep learning techniques
  • Proven experience in developing and deploying deep learning models using frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, or similar
  • Strong proficiency in programming in Python
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) preferable

Day-to-day

You will be working on developing and implementing deep learning models, collaborating with software engineers, conducting data analysis, and staying updated with the latest advancements in deep learning and AI technologies.
