Technology Budget Optimisation & Automation SME
Location: London (near Moorgate)
Day Rate: TBC on Monday 24th Feb
Working Policy: Fully Office Based - 5 Days per week
Deerfoot Recruitment is working with a leading banking group to recruit an Optimisation and Automation Lead for their Technology Department. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced budget and cost optimisation professional to join a dynamic team and play a pivotal role in driving financial optimisation and automation within a technology-focused department.
The successful candidate will oversee technology expense budgets, financial performance, and cost optimisation initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and managing automation and service improvement programmes.
- Enhancing financial forecasting, variance analysis, and decision-making processes.
- Managing the Service Catalogue to accurately reflect business consumption.
- Collaborating with leadership teams to improve financial literacy and drive FINOPS capability.
- Reviewing and enhancing budget control processes, workflows, and governance.
We are looking for candidates with:
- Proven experience in budget and cost optimisation (5–7 years+).
- Experience working in financial operations within a technology environment (3–5 years+).
- Strong understanding of financial service models, data analysis, and forecasting methods.
- Knowledge of technology foundations (e.g., infrastructure, cybersecurity, SDLC).
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in handling large datasets and presenting technical information clearly.
- Strong communication skills, including concise writing and impactful presentations.
