Content Architect            

Up to £65,000 per annum

Our prestigious publishing client based in London is looking for a talented Content Architect to join the team and manage the storage, quality assurance, processing, and delivery of XML content, its ancillary assets, and metadata for use across a range of our client's product websites, from initial receipt of digital content through to online delivery of high-quality and cost-efficient products.

 

A successful candidate will build upon, complement and integrate with existing digital and print production processes while contributing to the innovation of digital workflow processes to develop and streamline the production of our client’s product websites.

 

Key Skills:

  • Knowledge of XML and its function in delivering publishing products
  • Familiarity with schemas and the structure of complex XML documents
  • Experience using and maintaining a management system to store and process XML
  • Proven experience in systems and coding optimisation of the handling of large documents and collections of documents, with specific reference to processing efficiency
  • A proven track record of building and maintaining unit testing frameworks within a continuous integration environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Digital QA team, ensuring that content and metadata are effectively and efficiently managed and delivered in line with business need
  • Manage and monitor team resourcing, the allocation of work to team members and the appropriate prioritisation of that work
  • Monitor, in liaison with the Chief Content Architect, the validation technologies used, to ensure that they enforce markup consistent with the company’s content strategy
  • Work with digital and editorial production colleagues to ensure content creation and product delivery requirements and digital production best practices are captured, communicated and applied.
