Job Title: Business Operations & Support Lead

Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a highly experienced Digital Engineering Service and Solutions Business Operations and Support Lead to join their team in London. This senior role involves supporting the Head of Digital Engineering Services and the wider leadership team with business management and governance of department operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic direction and objectives for the department, aligning with global IT strategies.
- Manage departmental budgets, focusing on cost optimisation and resource allocation.
- Foster strong relationships across the organisation, including Human Resources, Procurement, and Finance.
- Lead a team of 4-5 direct reports, promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Oversee vendor management, risk assessment, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Implement processes to enhance productivity and efficiency, ensuring customer satisfaction and stakeholder management.
- Coordinate departmental reporting and communications, providing feedback and solutions to improve effectiveness.
- Manage continuous improvement programmes, ensuring reliable and efficient service delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to promote technical credibility and influence change.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in business management and operations (5+ years).
- Proven track record in financial management, cost optimisation, and project management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in resource management, recruitment, and supplier relations.
- Knowledge of industry best practices in operations management and emerging trends.
- Experience working within Technology, Infrastructure, and Service Management environments.
- Strong IT skills with advanced MS Office knowledge.
- Excellent communication, multi-tasking, and organisational skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships and manage large workloads under pressure.
