Tableau Report Builder / Administrator

Contract - 6 months ASAP start

£400-£550 per day Inside IR35

Mostly remote with travel to Letchworth office

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Tableau Report Builder / Administrator with a strong background in Tableau dashboard development, Tableau Prep workflows, and analytics best practices. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, building, and optimising interactive dashboards, as well as administering Tableau environments. A key aspect of the role involves coaching and empowering business users to develop self-service capabilities and champion data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and optimize high-quality, visually compelling Tableau dashboards and reports that meet business requirements.
• Develop and maintain data preparation workflows using Tableau Prep, ensuring data is clean, reliable, and fit for analysis.
• Administer Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud environments, including user management, permissions, extracts, and performance tuning.
• Enforce and promote Tableau best practices around dashboard performance, visual storytelling, and user experience.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate needs into actionable insights, and deliver effective reporting solutions.
• Lead training sessions and coach business users on building their own dashboards and interpreting data outputs.
• Support governance efforts by establishing guidelines for dashboard development, documentation, and data security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Tableau dashboards, data connectivity, and platform performance.
• Stay current on Tableau releases, new features, and industry trends to continually enhance the analytics ecosystem.
